Water Recycling

Rain Harvesting Systems: Rainwater harvesting involves collecting rainwater, storing it and pumping it to the point of use when it’s needed. Instantly, the need for mains water is dramatically reduced along with your water bills. On average every home uses 150 litres of water per person per day. Approximately 50 litres is used for non-portable applications that could be supplied by harvested rainwater reducing you water bill by 30–50%. With the cost of mains water expected to rise during the coming years, the financial benefit offered by a rainwater harvesting system is likely to improve, particularly for those with water meters.

Grey Water Recycling Systems: Grey water, also known as sullage, is non-industrial waste water generated from domestic processes like dish washing, laundry and bathing. Grey water comprises 50-80% of residential wastewater and an average family of four creates 3,000 litres of grey water every week. Grey water recycling systems reuse this water and an average family of four can save up to £200 per year.
